Reservations can be made for Drexel student organizations and campus departments for events. For facility reservations, please contact 215-571-3777 or recathletics@drexel.edu | Buckley Green Volleyball Courtsis the site for friendly games, intramural practices and watching the play from the picnic area. The trees make for a nice shade to get together with friends to study, eat lunch, and play volleyball. The courts are sandy and have standardized sized nets which is best for recreational games and sports. | Robert Buckley (BS, Civil Engineering, 1958) is Chairman and President of Buckley & Company, Inc., a family-owned heavy construction firm founded in 1928. He has served on the Drexel Board of Trustees since 1991. He is a recipient of the A.J. Drexel Paul Award, the College of Engineering Alumni Achievement Award. He is a member of the Drexel Athletic Hall of Fame, the Drexel 100, and the College of Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction. As a Drexel student, Mr. Buckley was a top athlete of his era and played on three sports teams: baseball, basketball, and football. Buckley Field, Buckley Green, and Buckley Courts at the Armory are popular campus sites that have his name. |
